Our Hearing Services department provides support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing at both our elementary and secondary levels. We enhance and improve a student's access to school curriculum in an inclusive environment through auditory means when possible.

Auditory-verbal training and mentorship |
In collaboration with VOICE, we offer an auditory-verbal training and mentorship program to develop the skills of Hearing Services Teachers in the area of auditory-verbal development. Upon competition of the training program, the Auditory-Verbal educator will provide enhanced services to the deaf and hard of hearing students who are learning to listen and speak. This curriculum based program ensures that our deaf and hard of hearing students learn to communicate using an auditory-verbal approach and can continue to access this intervention service while in our board. |
