As the 2025-2026 school year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on another remarkable year at the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB). From joyful celebrations of faith to everyday acts of kindness, the many special moments we have shared remind us of what we can accomplish together as a caring Catholic learning community, rooted in love, hope, and belonging. 

Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is excited to announce the 2025-2026 Certified Canada EcoSchools! As of June 18, 2026, DCDSB celebrates 36 EcoSchools, including 8 Platinum schools, 16 Gold schools, 3 Silver schools and 9 participant schools.

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) Trustees approved a balanced $339.7 million operating budget for the 2026-2027 school year that reflects a continued focus on student achievement, well-being and faith formation. The balanced budget aligns with Ministry of Education requirements and supports the board’s Inspire 2026 strategic plan.

St. James Catholic School students Lyam and Brianna were selected as Player Escorts for the FIFA World Cup match on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Match 21, between Ghana and Panama.

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is earning provincial recognition for its commitment to sustainability and responsible energy management, and is now recognized as one of the most energy-efficient school boards in Ontario.

Summer is just around the corner, and DCDSB’s Continuing Education Centre is excited to offer a variety of engaging and enriching summer programs for elementary and secondary students.
