DCDSB Summer Hours

During July and August, the Durham Catholic District School Board's Catholic Education Centre (650 Rossland Rd. W., Oshawa) is open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  • Elementary school offices are closed for the summer and will re-open on Monday, August 24, 2026. To register an elementary student for school during July or August, please visit our website for details.
  • Secondary school offices remain open during the summer from Monday to Thursday.
  • For information on summer programs offered through Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre, please visit con-ed.ca. 

The first day of school for elementary and secondary students is Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Visit our website to view the 2026-2027 school year calendars.

Catholic Education Centre Summer Closures:

  • July 10, 17, 24 and 31
  • August 3 (Civic Holiday)
  • August 7, 14 and 21
  • September 7 (Labour Day)

Early Years Partnerships

DCDSB partners with a variety of non profit organizations. Early years partnerships are collaborative relationships between the school and community members to support children's development and well- being. These partnerships emphasize a shared responsibility for a child's learning, with consistency between home and school environments, and are built on mutual respect, open communication, and shared decision-making. Early Years Partnerships lead to better outcomes by ensuring continuity of education, care and support.
