Vicky the Real Artist led an interactive art session with Grade 1 students at St. Paul Catholic School. Vicky is a self-taught pyrography artist whose creative journey intertwines with her indigenous roots, drawing inspiration from the captivating flora and fauna of Turtle Island.
During Vicky's art lesson, students learned about colour combinations, creating landscapes and using stencils. Vicky shared her story about her pathway in becoming an artist and encouraged creativity and story sharing with students. Students were excited to share their creations with each other.
