The Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (DCPIC) invites DCDSB families to two virtual workshops in partnership with MediaSmarts.

On Wednesday, April 29, Centre for Success students joined Mr. Drake and Mrs. Baglole on a trip to the St. Lawrence Market to experience some food and culture.

Today, on the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2‑Spirited People, the Truth and Reconciliation Committee organized a meaningful day of learning, reflection, and action for staff at the Catholic Education Centre. Participants engaged in a variety of learning stations, including displays honouring Indigenous women, a red dress bead workshop, a doll workshop, a poetry walk in the woods, and a campfire and smudge.

What started as a small lunchtime gathering has grown into a buzzing hub of creativity, collaboration, and innovation for Grade 7 and 8 students at Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School.

Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School recently participated in the Toronto Zoo’s Rain Barrel Project, a fundraiser supporting conservation and sustainability initiatives at the Toronto Zoo. The project brought together high school artists, community partners, Toronto Zoo staff, and volunteers with a shared mandate to transform rain barrels into one-of-a-kind works of art.

On Wednesday, April 29, Grade 9 and 10 students and staff from Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School ventured to the Durham College Oshawa campus for a day filled with new experiences and fun tied to the world of Esthetics!
