Register for Adult Education Programs with Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre Register for Adult Education Programs with Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre! Our Adult Education sites in Ajax, Whitby and our new Oshawa location offer Adult Education, Mature Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (mPLAR) and Specialized Training Programs for Pathways to Employment and Post-Secondary Education. Adults who are 18 years of age or older and out of a regular secondary school can register for a variety of programs including: • Adult Day School and Correspondence to earn credits for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or to upgrade courses for entrance to college, university or apprenticeship; • Adult Dual Credit Program with Durham College; • Adult Upgrading program focused on Literacy and Basic Skills; • Child Care Assistant Training Program; • Custodial Services Training Program; • English as a Second Language courses for adults (non-credit); • Microsoft Office Specialist Training Program; • Personal Support Worker Program; • Work-4-Credits Program (Cooperative Education); and • Young Parent School Program at the Rose of Durham (Oshawa).

International Languages Program Registration is now open for the International Languages program! The International Languages program offered through Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre is designed for students from Year 1 Kindergarten (Junior Kindergarten) to Grade 12 and adult learners. The programs provide students with the opportunity to speak, listen, write, and read in an international language and to learn about the culture and heritage associated with that language.

DCDSB Announces Appointment of Superintendent of Education and Chief Human Resources Officer The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Outram to the position of Superintendent of Education effective August 12, 2024, and Jaime Sheepwash to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer effective August 19, 2024. Jessica Outram has over 25 years of experience, which includes 12 years of teaching in secondary schools with DCDSB, 10 years in school administration with Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB) in elementary and secondary schools, and three years as a System Principal of Indigenous Education K-12 with KPRDSB.

CABS Multi-Sport Summer Camp This summer, DCDSB students in Grades 6-9 participated in the CABS Multi-Sport camp at Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic High School. Students played a variety of recreational activities, including basketball, volleyball, kickball and more! In addition, camp leaders facilitated activities that were aimed at building leadership, fitness, and peer relationship skills.

Active Harmony Camp Active Harmony Camp provides a vibrant summer experience for children in Grades 2-5, emphasizing wellness, sports, and fun activities. Campers participate in sports coaching to enhance skills and teamwork.
