This fall, the Durham Catholic District School Board proudly partnered with Intergenerational Hub and e-Camp Mentoring to host two full-day Career Panels for Black-identifying students, and both events were an incredible success.

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) recognizes Bullying Prevention and Intervention Week, which takes place from November 17-24, 2025.

As part of its plan to protect Ontario and prepare students for success in our workforce, the Ontario government has provided the Durham Catholic District School Board with approval to issue the tender for the new replacement Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School to create more student spaces. 

This Halloween season, the St. Matthew the Evangelist Catholic School community reminded us that the truest joy comes not from receiving but from sharing. In a time of abundance — when our children’s treat bags overflowed with sweets — students chose to give. 

On November 6, 2025, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) hosted the Second Annual Black Student Excellence Awards, continuing its commitment to celebrating the achievements of Black students across the board.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic School is thrilled to announce the success of our annual chocolate bar fundraiser! Thanks to the incredible efforts of our students, staff, and Catholic School Council, we raised an amazing $20,470 to support school initiatives.

In October, the Monsignor John Pereyma Social Justice Club organized their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
