Ajax Fire Chief for the Day at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School On October 10, a Grade 3 student at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School was thrilled to learn that he had won the Ajax Fire Chief for the Day contest! Evan’s creative submission, a comic strip showcasing his ideas to enhance community safety and well-being as Fire Chief, was selected from over 600 entries from elementary schools across Ajax.

Travel for Credit 2025 This year, as part of Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre's night school and summer school programming for the 2024-2025 school year, and in partnership with EF Educational Tours, we will be making Travel for Credit courses available to secondary school students across the board. When enrolling in a Travel for Credit course, students in the Durham Catholic District School Board will have the unique opportunity to earn academic credits through a combination of traditional and experiential learning.

DCDSB Regional Cross Country Meets From October 1 – 7, students in Grades 3-8 are competing in regional cross country meets at Hy-Hope Farm. It has been a great way to promote sportsmanship, participation, being active, and having fun! DCDSB 2023-2024 EQAO and OSSLT Results The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) provides Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) board, school and individual student reports based on the results of annual student provincial assessments. The 2023-2024 reports are now available and include data from the Primary and Junior assessments, Grade 9 Mathematics, and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).
