From Monday, November 24 to Friday, November 28, St. Anne Catholic School’s Unified Student Equity Leadership Team held Jamaica Strong Week. This week was organized to support the families that were affected by the devastation of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.

As we prepare to enter the holy season of Advent this Sunday, November 30, we are invited to reflect on its profound significance within our Catholic faith. In this sacred time, we ready our hearts to once again celebrate the birth of Christ, remembering the humble circumstances of a child born in a manger, bringing light to the world. This holy season calls us to prepare with prayer and openness, embracing the virtues of hope, peace, joy, and love.

His Excellency, Bishop Vincent Nguyen, together with St. Bernadette parish priest, Father Chris, visited St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School on Friday, November 28.

Father Leo J Austin’s Business, Transportation and Non-Profit Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs had the opportunity to spend a couple of mornings at a local Dairy Queen, earning their Customer Service Certification.

On November 19, 2025, the Region of Durham celebrated environmental leadership in sustainability and building decarbonization at the Durham Greener Buildings Awards. The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) received two awards in recognition of our commitment to sustainability and climate action.
