Congratulations to Our Project SEARCH Durham Region Interns On Monday, May 8, 2023, Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) in partnership with the Region of Durham and the Abilities Centre, congratulated the successful candidates of the inaugural Project SEARCH Durham Region program. The 10 candidates and their families were invited for an in-person contract signing to accept admission into the program that will begin in August 2023.

The Future City Experience The Future City Experience is a hands-on cross-curricular educational program that brings STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math ) to life for students in grades 6 through 8. Students across Canada have created model cities with the idea of making them “Waste Free” by the year 2123.

DCDSB Announces the 2023 Distinguished Catholic Alumni Award Recipients On Thursday, May 11, 2023, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) recognized seven alumni at the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation Gala. A graduate from each Durham Catholic secondary school received the Distinguished Catholic Alumni Award.

"Checkmate" at DCDSB Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) gymnasiums are usually filled by active athletic sporting events, but in the last two weeks the game of chess found a home in our elementary gyms. Over 300 students made up 29 elementary chess teams, which competed in six regional chess tournaments throughout DCDSB.

DCPIC Parent/Guardian Survey Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers: The Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (DCPIC) is a parent-led advisory committee working within the Durham Catholic District School Board. The DCPIC is currently conducting a parent/guardian survey that will assist in setting the committee’s direction for the 2023-2024 school year.

DELF Proficiency Exams at Durham Catholic District School Board Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB), in partnership with the Ontario DELF Centre and France Éducation International, participated in the administration of the Diplôme d’Études en Language Française (DELF) proficiency exam. Students registered in a Grade 12 FSL course were given the opportunity to challenge one of three levels of this exam.
