The 2020 Durham Catholic District School Board Award of Merit: Mary Kay Boase, Retired Principal
Mrs. Boase was recognized for her strong commitment to the broader Catholic community and evangelizing our Catholic faith. Since her retirement, Mrs. Boase assumed the role of Director of New Evangelization at Holy Family Parish in Whitby. In that role, she has supported the development of a culture of discipleship through organizing and leading yearly conferences in the parish that supported the formation of Catholic leaders. She created an invitational environment by fostering a hospitable culture for her parish. She also supports the sacramental preparation programs for students in Durham Catholic schools associated with Holy Family Parish.
