How to Join DCPIC

2026-2027 Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee Self-Nominations

The Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (DCPIC) hosts elections for available positions on the committee at the beginning of each school year. In order to be eligible for a position on DCPIC, you must self-nominate for a position.

Before submitting your self-nomination, please review the information below regarding committee expectations:

  • Please note this nomination form is for the DCPIC — not for an individual school’s Catholic School Council.
  • The DCPIC is a statutory committee of the DCDSB that represents and supports Catholic School Councils and families across the board.
  • While not mandatory, it is recommended that nominees have at least one year of experience serving on a Catholic School Council to ensure familiarity with school-level operations and parent involvement. If you are interested in joining your child’s Catholic School Council, please contact your child’s school directly for more information.
  • The DCPIC meets monthly, in person at the Catholic Education Centre (650 Rossland Rd W, Oshawa). All members are expected to attend the monthly meetings (listed below). In addition to monthly meetings,
  • DCPIC also organizes and hosts events throughout the year, which members are encouraged to support and attend.

  • Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.

  • Thursday, February 11, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 4, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 8, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 6, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 10, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.
