About Jessica

Jessica Outram is Superintendent of Education at the Durham Catholic District School Board. She provides system leadership for Indigenous Education, with responsibility for supporting First Nation, Métis, and Inuit students and families; advancing Indigenous perspectives across Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum; and guiding the board’s ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. Jessica works in partnership with the Indigenous Education Advisory Committee and is a Citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario.
Jessica began her career with the Durham Catholic District School Board as a secondary English and Drama teacher. She later served in school and system leadership roles with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, including Secondary Vice Principal, Elementary Principal, and System Principal of Indigenous Education. She holds a Master of Arts in Adult Education and Community Development from the University of Toronto, with a focus on arts-informed inquiry and peacebuilding.
Jessica brings a commitment to innovation, student voice, and spirituality to her leadership. She is responsible for the Pickering Family of Schools.
She offers thanks to all those who have guided, taught, mentored, and supported her over the years, shaping her learning, life, and work in profound and transformative ways.
