  • Grade 7 and 8 Students Participate in the Annual Young Women in Science, Technology and Trades Conference On April 24 and 25, Grade 7 and 8 students from Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School participated in the annual Young Women in Science, Technology and Trades Conference hosted by Durham College. The day started with an inspirational keynote speaker and welder, Promise Lafrance.

  • DCDSB and OECTA Durham Elementary Teachers’ Unit Announce New Agreement Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) Durham Elementary Unit are pleased to announce they have ratified a new collective agreement. OECTA Durham Elementary represents the board’s permanent elementary teachers.
  • Durham Catholic District School Board Announces the Resignation of Assistant Superintendent of Indigenous Education At the Regular Board Meeting on May 27, 2024, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) announced the resignation of Daniel Stargratt, Assistant Superintendent of Indigenous Education, who has accepted a new position at Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. Assistant Superintendent Stargratt has over 28 years of experience in Catholic and First Nation schools, during which time he has served as a teacher, vice-principal, principal and system leader.
  • Grade 11 Students Participate in On the Land Learning On Tuesday, May 21, Grade 11 students from St. Mary Catholic Secondary School participated in on the land learning with community partner, Beedahbin Peltier.
  • St. Mary Catholic Secondary School Builds Outdoor Classroom Shovels hit the soil at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School on May 15, as students in Grades 9-12 participated in a final build day for their outdoor learning space.
