  • Career Readiness Day (Tuesday February 28th) Career Readiness Day 2023 - Exploring the Next GenerationJoin us for our Career Readiness Day designed to increase awareness of available career options and pathways to achieving success! The Congress of Black Women of Canada, Oshawa/Whitby, and Ajax/Pickering Chapters, in partnership with Durham College Diversity Office, will be hosting a Career Readiness Day for youths who self-identify as Black and reside in Durham Region. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28, 2023, from 9 am - 2 pm, and will be held at Durham College, 2000 Simcoe Street, North Oshawa.
  • National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) High School Conference (Saturday February 11th) The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Ontario Tech University chapter is proud to present an in-person high school conference in collaboration with Engineering Outreach. Date/Time: Saturday February 11th (10am - 3pm) Location: Ontario Tech University, North Oshawa Campus Cost: Free Developed by Black Ontario Tech University STEM Students and Staff, the conference aims to introduce Grade 9 - 12 students to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and empower them to pursue academic excellence and leadership and build connections in the modern community.
