  • Lincoln Alexander Day - January 21 Lincoln Alexander Day is a National Day of Recognition in Canada to honour Lincoln MacCauley Alexander, a prominent Black Canadian and notable figure in the fight for racial equity for Black Canadians. He was the first Black Canadian member of Parliament (1968), first Black Canadian Cabinet Minister (1979) and the first Black Canadian Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario (1985).
