St. Bridget Catholic School in Brooklin put on performances of Annie Jr. from April 20 – April 24, 2026. Over these five days, students performed two matinees each day, and two evening shows, totalling 12 shows. Over the 12 days, there were 3,200 community members who attended the performances.
What started as a small lunchtime gathering has grown into a buzzing hub of creativity, collaboration, and innovation for Grade 7 and 8 students at Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School.
Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School recently participated in the Toronto Zoo’s Rain Barrel Project, a fundraiser supporting conservation and sustainability initiatives at the Toronto Zoo. The project brought together high school artists, community partners, Toronto Zoo staff, and volunteers with a shared mandate to transform rain barrels into one-of-a-kind works of art.

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) program in Beaverton is off to an exciting start. Launched in January 2026, the program welcomed its first cohort of students earlier this year, with graduates set to complete their training by the end of June. As this first class prepares to enter the workforce, plans are already underway to welcome a new group of students in September 2026.
On Thursday, April 23, 2026, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) recognized seven graduates at the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation Gala with the Distinguished Catholic Alumni Award. One alumnus from each Durham Catholic secondary school was honoured for their outstanding achievements and contributions.
