  • Empowering Our Community Through Mathematics - CABS Parent Night DCDSB's Coach/Advocate for Black Students (CABS) invite families to attend Empowering Our Community Through Mathematics. This event will include an interactive networking opportunity, a panel discussion, and will feature keynote speakers Alexander Coleman and Carl E.
  • TRAILS to Wellness: Coping with Anxiety Virtual Group for Grade 3-6 Students Does this sound like your child?  Avoiding situations or places because of fears  Constant Worrying  Clinging, crying and\or tantrums when you separate  Complaints of frequent stomach or headaches with no medical explanation  Difficulties sleeping or sleeping independently due to fears or worries  (checklist courtesy of Anxiety Canada)  If you answered yes to any of these questions, your child may be dealing with feelings of anxiety or sensitivity and may benefit from the TRAILS to Wellness: Coping with Anxiety Virtual group, which is an evidenced based group intervention aimed to reduce anxiety in children.  Join us for a virtual parent information session to learn about anxiety and sensitivity in children, how you can support your child and to learn if the TRAILS to Wellness: Coping with Anxiety Virtual group may be right for your child.
  • Marathon of Hope: Terry Fox Run/Walk (Friday September 20th) Hey Monarchs, join us for our Terry Fox School Run/Walk for Hope on Friday September 20th (rain date Wednesday September 25th) In order to participate in this big event, signed permission forms, and proof of a minimum donation of $5 must be submitted to your homeroom teacher by Tuesday, September 17th. Click the link to make your donation to the Terry Fox Foundation and contribute to cancer research.
  • Register for Adult Education Programs with Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre Register for Adult Education Programs with Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre! Our Adult Education sites in Ajax, Whitby and our new Oshawa location offer Adult Education, Mature Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (mPLAR) and Specialized Training Programs for Pathways to Employment and Post-Secondary Education. Adults who are 18 years of age or older and out of a regular secondary school can register for a variety of programs including: • Adult Day School and Correspondence to earn credits for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or to upgrade courses for entrance to college, university or apprenticeship; • Adult Dual Credit Program with Durham College; • Adult Upgrading program focused on Literacy and Basic Skills; • Child Care Assistant Training Program; • Custodial Services Training Program; • English as a Second Language courses for adults (non-credit); • Microsoft Office Specialist Training Program; • Personal Support Worker Program; • Work-4-Credits Program (Cooperative Education); and • Young Parent School Program at the Rose of Durham (Oshawa).
  • International Languages Program Registration is now open for the International Languages program! The International Languages program offered through Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre is designed for students from Year 1 Kindergarten (Junior Kindergarten) to Grade 12 and adult learners. The programs provide students with the opportunity to speak, listen, write, and read in an international language and to learn about the culture and heritage associated with that language.
  • Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee Nominations Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers, The Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (DCPIC) hosts elections for available positions on the committee at the beginning of each school year. In order to be eligible for a position on DCPIC, you must either be nominated for a position or self-nominate for a position.

  • Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year (1) Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers: Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I extend a heartfelt greeting to students and families who are new to the Durham Catholic District School Board, and a warm ‘welcome back’ to returning students and families. I am excited to begin this year as the new Director of Education for the DCDSB and look forward to connecting with students and families in this new role.
