During July and August, the Durham Catholic District School Board's Catholic Education Centre (650 Rossland Rd. W., Oshawa) is open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Catholic Education Centre Summer Closures:
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) program in Beaverton is off to an exciting start. Launched in January 2026, the program welcomed its first cohort of students earlier this year, with graduates set to complete their training by the end of June. As this first class prepares to enter the workforce, plans are already underway to welcome a new group of students in September 2026.
On Thursday, April 23, 2026, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) recognized seven graduates at the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation Gala with the Distinguished Catholic Alumni Award. One alumnus from each Durham Catholic secondary school was honoured for their outstanding achievements and contributions.

A free, play‑based Ready for School program will be offered in July for children born in 2022.This program is run in collaboration with Durham Catholic District School Board and Durham Community Health Centre.
The program supports school readiness through activities that promote social‑emotional development, speech and language growth, cognitive skills, and fine and gross motor development. One of the foundations of learning in kindergarten is built on play-based and inquiry-based learning.
