DCDSB - Air Quality Update for June 7, 2023Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers:
We want to provide an update on activities in the Durham Catholic District School Board for Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Based on consultations with the Durham Region Health Department and an anticipated worsening Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) as the day progresses, we have recommended that students be kept indoors for recess and lunch today.

The safety of students and staff is a top priority for the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB).
Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality statement for the Durham Region as smoke plumes from forest fires in Quebec and northeastern Ontario may result in deteriorated air quality throughout the week.
