During July and August, the Durham Catholic District School Board's Catholic Education Centre (650 Rossland Rd. W., Oshawa) is open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Catholic Education Centre Summer Closures:
On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 600 Grade 7 students and educators celebrated gathered at King Street Community Church for the final session of the Virtual Engagement Series, Created in the Image of God: I Am because We Are (Ubuntu).
Summer is just around the corner, and DCDSB’s Continuing Education Centre is excited to offer a variety of engaging and enriching summer programs for elementary and secondary students.
The Creating Cultural Connections end-of-year excursion was a fun and engaging experience that combined art, cultural learning, and community building.
During a deeply faith-filled learning experience at St. John Paul Catholic School, staff were blessed to engage in a meaningful hands-on encounter following a captivating read-aloud by author Karen Kieffer, creator of Drawing God.
During Catholic Education Week, the author of Growing God visited Good Shepherd Catholic School, where they shared the story Growing God with students.
On May 12, 2026, more than 50 students across five DCDSB secondary schools came together at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School for the White Pine Celebration, an annual event recognizing secondary student participation in the Forest of Reading optional reading program.
On May 11, 2026, more than 900 students from both Durham Catholic and Durham District School Boards gathered at the McKinney Centre in Whitby for the annual Durham Forest of Reading Celebration.
On May 12, Grade 9 students at Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic Secondary School in Oshawa engaged in an exciting day of hands-on, career-connected learning through the Electricity Now program.
