  • Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Welding Training In February 2023, seven teachers from our Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) secondary schools participated in their third and final welding training session with the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). Following this training, all seven teachers successfully completed the CWB Certification Qualification exam and were awarded their CWB 47.
  • DSTS Buses Cancelled in All Zones Durham Student Transportation Services has cancelled buses in all Zones today (Thursday, February 23) due to road conditions resulting from inclement weather. All DCDSB schools remain open.
  • Lenten Message from the Chair of the Board and Director of Education (1) Today we embark on the Liturgical season of Lent marked by the distribution of ashes to remind us of the Gospel and our call to turn away from sin. Lent is a period of 40 days of repentance and preparation leading up to the most holy time of year, culminating in the resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter.
  • Durham Catholic District School Board Student Art Exhibit at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is pleased to announce the 2023 student art exhibit at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery (RMG). DCDSB’s student art show, Kaleidoscope, will be available for the public to view free-of-charge from February 24, 2023, until March 12, 2023.

  • Oshawa Program and Boundary Study Dear Parents and Guardians,  On January 24, 2022, the Board of Trustees received the Long-Term Accommodation Plan 2022-2026 (LTAP) report and approved the guiding principles and actions to be undertaken. Within the LTAP report, staff were directed to undertake an Oshawa program and boundary study, with recommendations for any potential changes to be identified for a community consultation and implementation review (any potential outcomes would be subject to the provision of new PARG guidelines from the Ministry of Education, and the removal of the current moratorium).
  • Diplôme d’études langue française (DELF) Exam Spring 2023 Through partnerships with the Ministry of Education and the Ontario DELF Centre, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is pleased to offer Core French, Extended French and French Immersion students registered in a Grade 12 French as a Second Language course in the 2022-2023 school year the opportunity to participate in the Diplôme d'études en langue française (DELF) Proficiency Exam. Interested DCDSB Grade 12 students are encouraged to review the information on our DELF webpage, or contact their French teacher or Guidance department for registration details.
