  • Exploring the Skilled Trades through the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program and Indigenous Education (1) This past spring, Grade 11 students enrolled in the Hospitality course at Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School participated in an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and Indigenous Education initiative. Students took part in several workshops led by Indigenous community partners where they learned about food sustainability, Indigenous food, customs and cultures.

  • 2025 Student Walk for Hope in Support of the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation A heartfelt thank you to our Durham Catholic learning community! Throughout June 2025, our incredible students, families, and staff participated in the Walk for Hope in support of the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation. Donations for the Walk for Hope have raised $12,075! These funds will help to provide essential services to DCDSB students and families in need.
  • Heat Warning Issued for Durham Region Dear Families, Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Durham Region, with high temperatures anticipated in the coming days. We want to assure you that our schools are prepared and will be taking steps to keep students and staff safe.
  • Construction to Begin in July 2025 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School We are pleased to share an update regarding the six-classroom addition to St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School, which will provide 138 additional student spaces to support our growing Catholic learning community in north Oshawa.

  • Semester 2 Exam Schedule (Wednesday June 18th - Tuesday June 24th) Semester 2 formal examinations for Grade 9- 12 students will begin on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 through to Monday, June 23, 2025. Exams will be written on a period-by-period schedule, with students writing only one exam per day.
