  • Lenten Message from the Chair of the Board and Director of Education This year Ash Wednesday, a holy day of prayer and fasting that is recognized by many Christian denominations, falls on February 14, 2024. On this day, members of the Catholic community gather for liturgical celebrations in which they receive ashes, marked on their forehead in the sign of the cross, as a call to repentance and as a reminder of our need for love and forgiveness.
  • St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School Gets in the Groove In recognition of Black History Month, St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School welcomed Afiwi Groove School to explore the history of African dance with all students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

  • DCDSB Professional Activity Day Rescheduled to Monday, April 8, 2024 The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) trustees have voted in favour of moving the Professional Activity (PA) Day previously scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024, to Monday, April 8, 2024. The new PA Day of Monday, April 8, 2024, is in effect for elementary and secondary schools across the board.
